Obituary of Chester V. Kloczko, 30 June 2003


Chester V. Kloczko, 82, of Diana Rd., Plantsville section, died Sunday, (June 29, 2003) at The Summit. He was the beloved husband for over 50 years of Mary (Blaszczyk) Kloczko. Born in Southington on Feb. 12, 1921 the son of the late Bronislaw and Mary (Kasparewicz) Kloczko. He retired in 1986 from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington after 32 years. Prior to Pratt & Whitney he worked at Pexto. Mr. Kloczko was in the U.S. Marines 1st Battalion, 3rd division Co. B. He fought in the Battle of Guadacanal and Bougainville. He was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was a member of the Falcon's Nest #307 for over 50 years, a past president of the Southington Sportsman Club , a member of the Calendar House, the American Legion Kiltonic Post #72, the gang of Scarpa Shoda. He was an avid gardener and outdoorsman.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Lynn Kloczko of Southington, Chester M. and Sharon Kloczko of Harwinton; a brother, Edward Klocko of Southington; two sisters, Helen Turek and Wanda Klocko both of Southington; five grandchildren, David, Gregory, Michael, Mark and Katherine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary DiNello.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday, 10:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Immaculate Conception Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m.
